Read MoreI've arrived back at the hotel from my day of leisure, now it is time to freshen up and begin the evening portion of the program. Bob and I meet Dean and Jens on the Rooftop Terrace at the Penninsula Hotel, which by all accounts was to be closed today due to weather, but still, no rain. We have a beverage and the guys discuss their trip while I look at the view and snap a few pictures from both the terrace and the adjoining restaurant,
Read MoreWe have been to Paris before. This is actually my third trip, though neither of the previous two were very long, nor is this one. Our first visit was five days, our second was two, and this one is even shorter. Between the first two trips we've managed to see a lot. Our first stop, of course, was the Eiffel Tower.
Read MoreIt is early when we leave Milan this morning. The guys have a meeting in Hamburg, Germany which will last for several hours, and then we head to Paris, France. Three countries in one day. Flights are quick, though - 1.5 hours each. We can do this. A driver will pick us up in Germany and after he drops the men off he will drive me around to see the sights. I am in favor of this arrangement.
Read MoreIt is Monday morning in Milan. What a great and busy weekend! The guys are working so I can do whatever I want today. In my happy space. Bob leaves for his meetings so I get myself together and head down to the piazza at the hotel which will be my office for the morning. I will do a blog entry and then head out to do some exploring. There is a large da Vinci museum in town but being Monday, most of the museums are closed. So I think I will go to the Milan Cathedral and climb on it and in it.
Read MoreWe wake up in Milan on a sunny Sunday, Bob and Dean’s one day to take in the sights! Except we all sleep in until 10:30. This never happens, travel is getting the best of us! The guys need their rest, though, and we have a good 10 hours in front of us to explore Milan. And there is a plan.
Read MoreOur time in London ends just as the Royal Wedding begins. I did not witness "Royal Wedding Fever", maybe because the events are in Windsor, some 40 minutes away. But congrats, you two crazy kids!! Time to go to Italy. We land in Milan after a short (1.5 hour) but scenic flight which takes us over the Swiss Alps. They are beautiful, distinctive and capped in snow.
Read MoreAnother sunny day in London. Bob is already gone by the time I wake at 8:30am. I open the shades, enjoy the view and order some breakfast. He is not here so I can order the most unhealthy thing I want, but I really want the avocado toast with spinach and poached eggs. I add a latte and and oj. Plus a side of bacon.
Read MoreI did manage to grab 4 hours of sleep on the plane, which is good, for me. Not a plane sleeper. We land at Heathrow only 15 minutes or so behind schedule, which is great! Border control, however, is a mess.
Read MoreIt is Wednesday morning, and after last night’s lightning and thunderstorm, I have no idea what to expect when I open the shades. It is sunny! Bob comes through the door after a 6 mile run on the beach. He showers, dresses and we co-ordinate on the day’s schedule.
Read MoreWe are spending 24 hours in Miami at the St. Regis Hotel in Bal Harbor before heading to London, Milan, Hamburg (7 hour layover) and Paris. This is a much shorter trip than our world tour. 10 days. Hop, skip and a jump.
Read MoreToday my beautiful neice Kara and her beautiful toddler baby girl Addison are picking me up at the Whitley Hotel in Buckhead, Georgia and taking me to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and then to their home in Roswell Georgia, about 30 minutes away from Buckhead.
Read MoreBob has been presented with an opportunity to attend the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia and he is ecstatic! He'll fly into Atlanta, spend a day in business meetings before the group heads to Augusta. Since I have family in the suburbs of Atlanta, I have decided to tag along and then split off.
Read MoreSydney to L.A. to Park City (or, a 29 hour layover in Los Angeles). Our time in Australia has come to an end, but this country has a special place in my heart! Here are a few more pictures of Sydney and surrounds for you.

We are at the Park Hyatt Hotel nestled directly under the Sydney Harbor Bridge with dead-on views of the Sydney Opera House. The harbor is busy and loud.
Read MoreWe arrived in Tokyo last night at 4:00pm and leave at 10:00pm Thursday night. I am excited. We had dinner at the hotel last evening (see previous post) and I wake up Wednesday morning at 6 am feeling pretty chipper!
Read MoreToday we travel from Frankenberg to Tokyo by way of Frankfurt, Germany. We wake up at the Die Sonne and prepare to drive to Frankfurt for the afternoon before we fly to Japan.
Read MoreIt's Sunday in Germany. The shops and restaurants are largely closed, unless it is a hotel. I like this concept. Stores close Saturday around 2:00pm and don't re-open until Monday. Unless you're in the big city. And we are not. Our plan today is to tour the German countryside.
